Aquatic Therapy

H2OT is a certified Autism Swim Australia provider with advanced training in supporting children with autism, sensory processing differences, and coordination difficulties. Our therapist uses water as a therapeutic medium to build essential life skills.

The H2OT therapy approach is not a learn-to-swim program but a functional, occupational therapy based intervention designed to help children and adolescents:

Develop water safety awareness and foundational skills
Improve sensory regulation, motor coordination, and confidence in the water
Enhance body awareness and motor planning in aquatic environments
Increase participation in water-based activities at home, school, and in the community
Support emotional regulation, routine transitions, and engagement in daily living skills beyond the pool

Our therapist tailors each session to meet the unique needs of the child, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and empowered to engage meaningfully in water-based activities. Therapy sessions also provide families with practical strategies to help children develop and generalise water safety and participation skills beyond the therapy environment.
